Fram & Sax Cat Care and News December 2017
01 December 2017
As we approach the end of another hectic year, we can reflect on the cats and kittens Fram and Saxe CP has helped during 2017. We have taken in and found wonderful new homes for many felines. We have had our teams out at numerous events to not only raise money, but to spread the word about the work we do. We have trapped, neutered and returned many feral cats and found homes for feral kittens where possible. We have also provided neutering vouchers and contributed to veterinary bills for those unable to afford the cost themselves.
If you love cats and have some time to spare, you could help us in the coming year to do more of what we do best - helping felines in need. The branch is urgently seeking more volunteers. If you like meeting people, you may like to help with events; to set-up, transport goods or sell on our stands. Perhaps you may also have some new ideas for fundraising, too.
We are also in urgent need of more fosterers to temporarily take care of cats and kittens until they get back on their paws and get their new start in life. This is an ideal opportunity if you would like to have a pet, but are unable to commit to the long-term care this entails. Short term fosterers simply need a spare room in the house, or space in the garden for one or more cat cabins. You supply the TLC and your time, we supply everything else. Administrative support volunteers would also be welcome.
We are a very friendly, pro-active branch and welcome like-minded people to join us. If you would like to help in any way at all, please call us on 01728 723499. We look forward to hearing from you soon and wish all our supporters and volunteers - old and new - a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Catology: The late Christopher Hitchens wrote in his book the Portable Atheist: 'Owners of dogs will have noticed that, if you provide them with food and water and shelter and affection, they will think you are god. Whereas owners of cats are compelled to realise that, if you provide them with food and water and shelter and affection, they draw the conclusion that they are gods.' We add no comment!
Featured cat looking for a Home: Blackberri (aka Berri) is 13 years old. Berri is looking for a new home where she can rest her paws and become your new companion. Please arrange to visit her soon if you can offer her the home she needs. See her on the Adopt a Cat pages.
