Welcome to your local Cats Protection!
Our branch, Framlingham and Saxmundham, was formed in 1989 by a group of concerned people who were alarmed by the increasing numbers of abandoned and unwanted cats and kittens in the area. Since our formation we have gone from strength to strength and on average home over 200 cats and kittens each year. Sadly, the problem of unwanted cats and kittens has not decreased despite neutering campaigns.
All the work is voluntary and has to be fitted in with business and private lives. It is extremely difficult to get this fact over to the general public.
Unfortunately we do not have a purpose built adoption centre, so all the cats and kittens are placed in either cat pens in fosters gardens or kitten pens in a spare bedroom.
We are always looking for new ways of raising money and for helpers, so please let us know if you can help in any way.
We cover postcode areas: IP6 and IP12 to IP23.
